Horsing around with the language
This is an oldie from 2011 but new to this blog. Almost done with posting all the old and not previously blogged work in this series. There are five more. After that, I'll go back to intermittent new posts, because I can't crank these out fast enough to make this a daily thing.

Green screen
Another oldie from 2011, first-time posting on this blog. If you aren't familiar with the 1973 sci-fi film "Soylent Green," you won't get this, but to destroy the joke and spoil the film in one sentence, the movie was about a future United States society wherein the government was supplying a food source whose secret ingredient was human flesh from people who were being harvested for that purpose.
Furthermore, if you don't know what a green screen is, this isn't your cup of tea either.

On three
This oldie just now being put on the blog wasn't so much meant to be ha-ha funny as it was meant to be a statement about how infantile it looks for professional athletes on national TV to huddle up on the sidelight and shout something simultaneously. I'm thinking solidarity and motivation comes from a deeper part of the soul than whatever part is required to roar a single word while clustered around each other laying hands on hands. Especially if the team ends up losing the game.

Oops! Take two!
I rushed this one into cyberspace last week, and it took me several days before I realized a major blunder. Here it is again with the correct caption. My apologies! Duh!

Of all the gall
I don't know. This one is probably inexcusable. But what the hey; it's my blog and I can post whatever I want. From 2011.

Hung jury
This is from 2011, but it's the first time posted on this blog. This works only if you are aware of the awful "American Idol" contestant referenced here and specifically his oft-quoted comment about his terrible audition for the show. While I thought it was an original idea at the time I drew it and still think using that quote in the courtroom was clever, I have since learned that the TV show "Arrested Development" worked the same concept into a sight gag on the show a few years earlier, even including William Hung himself in a courtroom setting.
